Update: Refuse Removal Resumes While Workers Continue to Strike
The Municipal workers continue with their strike today while management is still attending to their grievances. Management has meanwhile, resorted to making use of temporary workers’ services to collect refuse today.

Following review of its annual budget last week, the Oudtshoorn Municipal Council resolved to among others, apply a stringent process of cost containment on all expenditure types in order to monitor all possible further savings and that only essential expenditure be incurred.
