Expansion of the Queens Mall in the Pipeline

The Greater Oudtshoorn Municipal Council unanimously approved R 30 Million worth expansion and upgrade of the Queens Mall, as was proposed by the new owner, VESTSEC TEN (PTY) Ltd. This decision to give a facelift to the Queens Mall which consists of a super market and a number retail stores, a chemist and locally owned businesses, was taken during a special council meeting that was held on 29 April 2021.

The tremendous financial suffering that came along with the arrival of COVID19 in our lives did not deter the Greater Oudtshoorn Municipal Council in exerting more efforts to ensure the survival and flourishing of the iconic Cango Caves.
New Development in Loom for a Land Formerly Known as “Xhosa Village”

The Oudtshoorn Municipal Council resolved to commercialise the municipal vacant land in Bongolethu which housed a tourist attraction called, Xhosa Village, for either a commercial complex, new housing units development or a government precinct.
