Thursday’s Refuse Bags Collected

Oudtshoorn, 10 July 2020 – Refuse collection which was interrupted yesterday (9 July 2020), due to the news of a COVID19 infection among the cleansing services workers, has been completed today.

A team of workers from the community services department that are not part of the refuse collection team, removed all remaining bags on the streets in parts of Oudtshoorn where collection of refuse was due on Thursday.

The team consisted of street sweepers, cleansing supervisors and other general workers within the community services department.

Should there be any refuse bags lying around that were supposed to be collected on Thursday, residents are requested to call the Control Room which is available 24/7 on 0442037800 for collection.

Friday’s refuse removal will be collected on Monday, 13 July 2020, together with Monday’s collection.
