Oudtshoorn, 05 May 2025 – The Oudtshoorn Municipality confirms that Mr Reginald Smit, Director: Corporate Services, has been suspended from 29 April 2025. While internal processes are underway, Mr Earl John Jantjies has been appointed as Acting Director: Corporate Services.
As Mr Smit remains an official of the municipality, no further details regarding the suspension will be disclosed at this time, in adherence to applicable municipal policies and to ensure due process is respected.
