Oudtshoorn, 14 May 2020 – Please note only the following CONSTRUCTION AND RELATED SERVICES are permitted in terms of alert level 4 lockdown regulations:
- Civil engineering for public works projects (including water, energy, sanitation)
- Public works civil engineering and construction works
- Road and bridge projects, including local road repairs
- Critical maintenance and repairs
Any other construction work other than the services listed above is not permitted.
Please note that Municipal building inspectors are not back on duty to conduct inspections on building works due to the lockdown. This means, any building work currently taking place in illegal.
