Oudtshoorn, 28 January 2025 – The Greater Oudtshoorn Municipality will cease sending printed municipal accounts by post starting February 2025. To ensure uninterrupted access to your municipal account, all account holders not yet registered on the Collab Citizen app and/or not receiving their monthly statements via email are requested to register to receive statements on their mobile phones through the Collab Citizen App and via email. Once all mobile numbers are updated, accounts may also be provided via SMS in the future.
Receiving municipal accounts via email or on the Collab Citizen app offers several benefits, including instant delivery, convenient access, and reduced risk of losing your statement.
To enjoy this service, please update your contact details, including your email address. All account holders must ensure that their personal contact information is updated before February 2025 via the Collab Citizen app, any office within the Financial Revenue section, or by emailing accountenquiries@oudtmun.gov.za.
As indicated on your municipal account regarding reference number changes, all account numbers with fewer than 12 digits will be updated to 12 digits. These changes will be phased in over time. Account holders must always use their latest account statement for payment purposes, as these changes will also affect the Payat reference number used for payments at Checkers, PnP, and other outlets. This underscores the importance of registering on the Collab Citizen app to ensure your account information is readily available, as payments can only be made to valid account numbers.
To register on the Collab Citizen app, please follow these steps:
- Download the Collab Citizen app from your device’s app store.
- Open the app and select “Register.”
- Enter your personal details as they appear on your current municipal account, including your email address and mobile number.
- Follow the prompts to complete your registration.
- Once registered, you will start receiving your municipal account statements via the app and email.

OUDTSHOORN MUNISIPALITEIT GAAN PAPIERLOOS VIR MUNISIPALE REKENINGE
Die Groter Oudtshoorn Munisipaliteit gaan vanaf Februarie 2025, nie meer gedrukte rekeninge per pos sal uitstuur nie. Om te verseker dat u voortgaan om u munisipale rekeningstaat te ontvang, registreer alle rekeninghouers wat nie op die Collab Citizen-toepassing geregistreer het nie en/of tans nie hul maandelikse staat per e-pos ontvang nie, asseblief om dit op u selfoon te ontvang deur die Collab Citizen App en per e-pos. Sodra alle selfoonnommers opgedateer is, kan rekeninge ook in die toekoms per SMS verskaf word.
Om munisipale rekeninge per e-pos of op die Collab Citizen-toepassing te ontvang, bied verskeie voordele, insluitend onmiddellike aflewering, gerieflike toegang en verminderde risiko om jou rekeningstaat te verloor.
Om hierdie diens te geniet, moet u asseblief u kontakbesonderhede opdateer, insluitend u e-posadres. Alle rekeninghouers moet verseker dat hulle hul persoonlike kontakbesonderhede voor Februarie 2025 opdateer via die Collab Citizen-toepassing of by enige kantoor binne die Finansiële Inkomste-afdeling of via acccountenquiries@oudtmun.gov.za
Soos aangedui op u munisipale rekening rakende verwysingswysigings, sal alle rekeningnommers met minder as 12 syfers tans na 12 syfers verander word. Hierdie veranderinge sal oor ‘n sekere tydperk ingefaseer word.
