Oudtshoorn, 15 February 2022 – The Oudtshoorn Municipality welcomed Clyde Avontuur as the new Manager: Contract and Legal Services appointed on 1 February 2022.
Avontuur is a native of Oudtshoorn and brings his extensive knowledge in the legal field with him. He is a senior attorney and a conveyancer and holds a Masters degree (LLM) in law which he obtained from Unisa.
“It is a privilege to serve the community of Oudtshoorn and I look forward to contributing towards the success of the Municipality’s administration”, said Avontuur.
One of his many duties is to give legal advice and support to the council, Speaker, Executive Mayor, Municipal Manager, Managers, and all matters which may have a legal implication to ensure that Council’s interest is at all times adequately protected.
“We would like to give you a warm welcome, and I know with your experience and dedication you will be of great value to the municipality,” said the executive Mayor, Cllr Chad Louw.
