Oudtshoorn, 02 June 2024 – The Greater Oudtshoorn Municipality, in partnership with the Eden Cycling Association and the Department of Sports and Cultural Affairs, is thrilled to announce the 14th annual Inter Districts Cycling Event. This premier event will take place from Friday, 05 July 2024 to Sunday, 07 July 2024, at the Bridgton- Aurial Circuit and Highgate Circuit.
As the only event of its kind in South Africa, the Inter Districts Cycling Event emphasizes youth development, transformation, and the promotion of women in sport. Key South African cycling officials will also be in attendance to identify new talent and support the growth of the sport.
Cycling South Africa will use this opportunity to train new technical officials through various courses offered during the event. Additionally, the event will provide temporary employment opportunities for local residents, contributing to the economic growth of Greater Oudtshoorn.

SATURDAY 6 JULY 2024:
- 09:00 Team TT (Highgate circuit)
- 13:00 Road Race (Highgate circuit)
- 16:00 1 Hour after final race concluded:
- Final Prizegiving
The Inter Districts Cycling Event promises not only thrilling races but also significant economic benefits for the community. With a focus on inclusivity and the development of cycling talent, this event is set to be a milestone in the South African cycling calendar.
