Oudtshoorn, 10 April 2017 – The Executive Mayor, Aldm Colan Sylvester will, this afternoon bestow the Freedom of the City to Dirk-Pieter Uys for the character of Evita Bezuidenhout in the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK) this afternoon.
Council has, at its meeting held on 10 March 2017, approved to confer Evita Bezuidenhout with the Freedom of the Town award. The Freedom of the Town is an honour bestowed by a Municipality upon a valued member of the community, or upon a visiting celebrity or dignitary.
The event is scheduled to beginning at 16:00 in front of the Queens Hotel at Baron van Reede Street.
