Celestial Outreach Foundation Receive Grant of R40 000

Local heroes Celestial Outreach Foundation proudly accepted a grant worth R40 000 from RDATA, who has been in a partnership for 21 years with Oudtshoorn Municipality, at a recent meeting held at the municipality. In attendance was the Mayor of the Greater Oudtshoorn, Alderman Chris Macpherson, Mr Roy Matthews and Mr Danie Beukes of RDATA and Ricky and Delmarie Seekoei of Celestial Outreach Foundation.

The Celestial Outreach Foundation is renowned for its charitable activities in the Oudtshoorn neighbourhood, where they assist the elderly and promote youth development since establishing the company brand in Oudtshoorn after relocating from Cape Town. A recent mother’s day program was organized in honour of mothers and battered women in Oudtshoorn. Upcoming outreach initiatives include a 5-day senior tour of Cape Town that includes stops at the aquarium, Simon’s Town Naval Base, the Museum and Planetarium, the Castle of Good Hope, and a train excursion from Cape Town to Fishhoek. Other projects the organisation is involved with include mainly capacity-building projects with youth participants as recipients.

Roy Matthews, Regional Manager RDATA, expressed their gratitude towards Celestial Outreach Foundation for the outstanding work they do in our communities. “As a service provider of public sector solutions to governmental organizations and as a listed JSE company, RDATA, as part of their social responsibility, could not have picked a worthier cause to donate to”.

The Oudtshoorn municipality played a pivotal role in linking the business sector with local organizations, making a difference in the lives of those most vulnerable said Mayor MacPherson. “This is a showpiece for Oudtshoorn, which will hopefully inspire other companies to follow RDATA’s example, and that this will kick-start other similar projects in the greater Oudtshoorn community”.
