Oudtshoorn, 01 April 2025 – The Oudtshoorn Municipal Council has formally noted the draft Integrated Development Plan (IDP) for the 2025/2026 financial year, alongside the draft Budget and Tariffs for the 2025/2026 financial year, during an Ordinary Council Meeting held on 31 March 2025. These documents were tabled by the Executive Mayor, Alderman Johan Allers.
As part of the community participation process, the public is invited to comment on the Draft IDP review within a 21-day period, commencing 07 April 2025. Written submissions can be directed to the offices of the Municipal Manager and the Executive Mayor or emailed to masola@oudtmun.gov.za.
In addition, the Mayoral Imbizo on the Draft IDP Review for 2025/2026 and Draft Budget for the 2025/2026 financial years will commence on 07 April 2025 and run until 30 April 2025. These public engagement sessions have been scheduled as follows, with all meetings starting at 18:30:
- Ward 11: Monday, 07 April 2025 – Blomnek Community Hall
- Ward 9/10: Tuesday, 08 April 2025 – Dysselsdorp Community Hall
- Ward 6: Wednesday, 09 April 2025 – Rosevalley Library Hall
- Ward 4/5: Thursday, 10 April 2025 – Thusong Service Centre Hall
- Ward 8: Monday, 14 April 2025 – Thusong Service Centre Hall
- Ward 7/13: Tuesday, 15 April 2025 – Protea Hotel Hall
- Ward 9/11/12: Wednesday, 23 April 2025 – Municipal Banquet Hall
- Ward 1, 2, 3 & 7: Thursday, 24 April 2025 – Municipal Banquet Hall
- Ward 2/12: Wednesday, 30 April 2025 – Volmoed Primary School
